Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 ounces
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crushed buttery crackers like Ritz
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions optional, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Cook and shred your chicken if not using pre-cooked chicken.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Fold in 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix crushed crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle over the chicken mixture. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
