Preheat your oven to 350°F. Cook and shred your chicken if not using pre-cooked chicken.
In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
Fold in 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a separate bowl, mix crushed crackers with melted butter. Sprinkle over the chicken mixture. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
