Chicken Tenders
  • 1 pound chicken tenders These are the star of the dish, providing a tender and juicy base.
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour This helps create a light coating that adheres to the chicken.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds a rich garlic flavor that enhances the overall taste.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Complements the garlic and adds depth to the seasoning.
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika Gives a subtle smokiness and a beautiful color to the chicken.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Essential for bringing out the flavors in the dish.
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper Adds a hint of spice to balance the sweetness.
  • 1 large egg Acts as a binder for the breadcrumbs, helping them stick to the chicken.
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs Provides a crispy texture that makes the chicken tenders irresistible.
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter (melted) Forms the base of the honey garlic sauce, adding richness.
  • 0.25 cup honey Brings sweetness and a sticky glaze to the chicken.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Adds umami flavor and enhances the overall taste.
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced) Fresh garlic gives a robust flavor to the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish) Adds a pop of color and freshness to the dish.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. Prepare the chicken tenders by rinsing them under cold water and patting them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic to make the honey garlic butter sauce.

  5. Arrange the coated chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Remove the chicken from the air fryer, drizzle with honey garlic butter sauce, and toss gently to coat.
