  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 10 small flour tortillas
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil for frying
  • Sour cream for serving
  • Guacamole for serving

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add cooked, shredded chicken, shredded cheddar cheese, salsa, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Warm flour tortillas in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Place 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken mixture in the center of each tortilla. Roll tightly, folding in the sides to secure the filling.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place taquitos seam-side down in the skillet. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towel.
  4. Serve hot with sour cream and guacamole.
