  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Essential for topping.

  • 1 teaspoon paprika Adds smokiness.
  • to taste salt and pepper For balancing flavors.
  • 1 package (32 ounces) frozen tater tots Provides a crispy topping.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional) For sautéing onions.

Method
 

  1. Dice the onion, drain the corn, and measure out the soup and cheese.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté the onion for 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in corn, soup, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well and heat through for 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a greased baking dish and layer tater tots on top. Sprinkle cheese over tater tots.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 30-35 minutes until tater tots are golden brown.
