Ingredients
  

Chicken
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded can use leftover or rotisserie chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup 10.5 oz
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup Bisquick mix
  • 1/2 cup milk (for dumplings)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped optional for garnish

Method
 

  1. Prepare the chicken by shredding it into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, combine shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, and 1 cup of milk. Stir well and heat over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix Bisquick, 1/2 cup milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until just combined to create the dumpling dough.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of dumpling batter onto the chicken mixture, cover, and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes without lifting the lid.
  5. Let the dish sit for a few minutes after cooking, garnish with parsley, and serve.
